I'm almost certain she is saying: I, I follow, I follow you, deep sea baby I follow you I, I follow, I follow you, DON'T COME, honey I follow you It has been stated elsewhere that in the live version, she is singing, "DON'T COME RUNNING", instead of "don't come, honey". This essentially changes the entire meaning of the song for me. She seems to represent either being on the same river or another river that will meet him in the sea. He is running, sometimes turning back towards her. She is telling him to keep on moving forward, do not come running back to her as a river - they will eventually will meet together in the "deep sea". |
