well it's a fabulous and catchy song... i've never quite understood it, but this is what it seemed like to me: the "bug" references mean that the narrator believes himself to be a parasite, in a way, to the woman he's with. ("curl my lips and crawl up to you","your sorrow is sunshine") he thinks she's beautiful and innocent, but he preys on her...he also warns her to "hide your soft skin." i'm not sure, but this song has a mischievous/dark humour feel and i believed the narrator was conflicted because he wanted to continue being a parasite but he also wants to protect her. |

this song is transcendent. it's hard (at least for me) to listen to it in public because i get so into the incredible guitar part. i've always had trouble completely understanding the lyrics but there's been some good insight on here. of course, it's quite possible that maybe you're not supposed to understand it completely. i suppose it can mean different things depending on how it makes you feel. |

best sad song ever. only lucero could pull it off. the guy is trying to forget the girl who will never remember him... because she's too busy remembering her old relationship. well it's better than that, but that my interpretation. |

it is "a kiss will make you close your eyes, but a kiss won't make you stay." though their lyrics are hard to decipher sometimes. i absolutely love lucero's 'despair music.' this one seems to be about a guy who is so dependent on this girl that she doesn't quite understand it, but he doesn't care what anyone else thinks. |
