i got a completely different take from this song
sort of nihilistic that there was so much pain the protagonist felt throughout the album, that he left the taps running which would flood the island and end his world. a very childish image but also quite dark and a bit of pathos |

In the gutter where you live" but in reality, it could have been love insulting this girl she detests further by calling her a whore on national tv. then again, im sure in courntey's fall she would have been hanging around people like that in the streets during a drug addiciton and would have been fucked over a lot. |
