Actually GoodJohn.....you are RIGHT!!! Bob Dylan DID say this...but who's to say if he was telling the truth? "disappearing in the smoke rings in my mind"....or "i could take 'em or leave 'em, never hung me up"...i mean seriously...why would you even include these lyrics in the song if didn't want people to think it's about drugs. Bob Dylan...is a genius. But he also thinks he's Slick...his words.."It's a commmon mistake to think it's about drugs" It's not a mistake, it IS about drugs. Bob Dylan lies to cover his ass because he's old now and is still writing music. So if he just came out and said "My Songs are for Druggies!!!" i think he would LOSE most of his fans in a heartbeat. Of course most of his fans arn't druggies...but you knew that already. It's just Life, it's how people think, talk, and respond is how you figure people out.
