I think this song is about two people with opposite outlooks on life. One being optimistic, the other pessimistic. "i still remember how you tried to hold these walls through perfect storms" is her trying to fight against conflict "you lost so many homes" meaning that she couldn't solve all her problems "you say hold on and everything will be okay, i've been confused why can't we just run away" is the girl saying have a little faith, but the narrator just wants to ignore and avoid issues. "was it hope that kept you alive through the years and should i even call it living?" the narrator is saying that it is foolish to try and fix things that are inevitable. he thinks she wasted her time when she could have been off living a great life. "You said that the water's cold but still warmer than your skin" refers to how the girl thinks the narrator was right all along, and that it was foolish to chase impossible dreams and that she has nothing left now. "I tried to help you but the closer I got, the further you walked away...away" the roles have switched, now the narrator is the one saying have a little faith, but the girl is convinced everything is inevitable and trying to help wont do anything, so she walks away/ avoids her problems. |

I know it's about his mom, but the way I interpret it is as a person watching their friend become self destructive or suicidal. "behind locked doors" refers to the hidden struggle his friend is going through. "we're doing well as long as there's no time to cry" means if you keep yourself busy you can forget the pain temporarily. "I was too ashamed yeah I was too ashamed I was just too weak to save her" is suggesting that maybe he was ashamed because he contributed to the state his friend is in. Being too weak is just not having the courage or the confidence to help them. "she doesn't care" means that the friend is in such a bad state that they don't want any help because they just want everything to end. |

I think it's about a guy who is in a relationship with a girl he doesn't like but stays anyways because he can't get over how physically attractive she is. Thus the "gun" is her sex appeal and he knows just being with her for the physical aspect is not good but he is too addicted. "no one comes to bed to sleep" is also a reference to sex. he says "kill me while I'm sleeping because he knows he is using her and it's wrong so he wishes he could end it. "If you ever want some trouble, But can't afford the alcohol. I'll be here" - that to me sounds like he is ready for a one night stand any time |

I think this song is about someone who lives in an area where people don't have any hope for the world or hope in the person. "Moody as sunday skies, brought me back to the ground Where I don't want to be found" means others are bringing him down and he isnt happy about it. "nothing here will shine through the dark" is saying he knows nothing good will come if he just sticks to his current situation. And with the chorus, he is saying "damn the cold cold moon..." because he hates being the only one who has a longing for something more in life. And he says "this light of mine can't save this place." meaning he has to move on and save himself. "I'm not crazy I'm just too ready to live this life Far away from everyone who sees through hopeless eyes" is referring to how he has a different outlook on life than most others and there is nothing wrong with it, he's just different. he longs to live a better life instead of settling for the norm. "Someday I'm waking up with sunshine in my eyes" referrs to the journey and how someday he will achieve his goals. |

The meaning of this song is kind of fuzzy to me. I can only understand a few bits of it. "So tell me where I can run Tell me where I can hide I've washed these hands before I'm still the same I'm still me" - (this is talking about someone who has made mistakes but can't get rid of the bad reputation and change who they are.) "So tonight we'll carry all the crimes And burn our eyes so we cant look back We tried so hard to make believe of better days" - (perhaps this is referring to a relationship that has had a troubled past and the two people are trying to forget all the bad times and pretend they never happened. And the fact that it says "we tried so hard" makes it sound like they failed to move on from the past.) |

"so tell me where I can run" not "so tell me where i can walk" "i'm still the same mom" is not supposed to have "mom" "and burn out eyes so we cant look back" not "and burn a ride so we cant look back." "Last night I inspired the poison so I can die again" not "Left by...the poison so i can die again" "the time to receive you" not "the time to save you" "to lose myself again" not "So i can save myself again" |

I think this song is about a relationship that started out good but went down overtime. Now all that is left is the physical side. "We're at our best Only when we undress" and "Without the sheets we'd still be alone." They are still trying to hold their relationship together and regret their mistakes, but they both know the end is inevitable. |
