In my opinion, this song is about a guy who is completely and totally in love with this girl. Who knows if they were dating, and she broke up with him, or if hes just seen her and knows her, and is in love with her because of that. Hes saying that she is nearly a physical part of him, and that without her, he wouldn't be happy. But the only time that he's with her is in his dreams. And when he wakes up, everything's been erased. really, its quite a depressing song, but i love it. its all i listened to after my girlfriend moved to florida and broke up with me. Has a deep meaning for me. |

i agree with you completely. we can try to find a name for this as much as we want, but it wont change this girl from stopping. my girlfriend used to be like that, but then, after listening to this song (and some other weezer songs, weezer FTW) i got some guts and told her how i felt. and she actually understood and listened. so now everything is awesome. the best advice i can give to anyone reading this is tell your girl how you feel, and if she dumps you for it, it wasnt meant to be. and if she doesnt dump you, but she stops acting that way, she really cares about you. for example, me and my gf, the same one i just was talking about, are now engaged :) |

this reminds me a lot of my relationship with my current girlfriend. she lies, and does drugs, but i dont wanna leave her. idk y. weird connection we have. only jus discovered this song on my ipod like a week ago (im a huge weezer fan) and thought this song was almost spot on about me and my gf. besides the tatoos and snakes |

I think that this song is about a whole shitload of things, because no matter what we do or say, everyones going to take it a different way. So sure, maybe its about MTV, or how every1 was askin 4 another Teen Spirit, or actually about the issue of rape. Its all in how u see and interpret it. Maybe Kurt didnt even have a message in mind when he wrote this song, maybe he was all drugged up and was like "Dude, im gonna write a song about rape." who knows? jus take it as you see it |
