| This song is just clearly about the toll it takes living as a martyr, and constantly sacrificing things for the greater good and other people. It clearly tires the singer, and makes them question life in general. The want to push the burden on someone else to breathe, but they accept their roll in life and know this how they choose to live and how they will be. | |

So simple and poetic and good. "All the times we have shared and all the memories I have, brought me back to square one. Now I'm running on empty. Only you could pick me up, without thinking twice, you wrapped your arms around me." The speaker has somebody they're close to, and they themselves have hit hard times. Their friend/companion has saved them, and lifts them up through whatever's happening. "When we find truth inside ourselves, it's hard not to run away. But we must capture and embrace. It's how we truly live our lives." Thats about coming to terms with something thats hard, and having a hard situation they want to turn away from. "We will be everything we have been dreaming of." He's just saying we'll be who we want/are meant to be. "When I look in the mirror what I see, is the only thing that I can be. I come to you now, defenses down. Defenseless now. When you look at me I want to be, everything you want to see. I come to you now defenses down. Defenseless now." The most impactful part of the song, in my opinion. Speaker's saying they want to make the people they care about proud, and be who they want/need to be because they love them, and that sometimes who/what they are is all they can be. But in the end it'll all work out. Kinda long winded, since I think all those points were made in the song, but yeah. |

"Bury yourself with honor, and we'll all say our piece. When will you realize you're not in control? The sound of divine wind will haunt us all." This part of the song impacted me the most, I just feel like it means we don't do the right things all the time. Do what you will, as long as you own up to what you've committed. We'll all give our own opinions and judgments on what someone's done but we can't control what temptations will be thrown our way, and more or less we'll be in the same situation somehow. My interpretation, atleast. |
