This song is beautiful. All about loving someone despite knowing they can't be yours, feeling that even if you only have them for minutes at a time, it's worth every painful consequence... It's just the knowledge that when you love someone that already belongs to someone else, every second feels borrowed but sometimes you just throw the consequences out of the window because they're worth it. Another MP song I'd dedicate a thousand times over to my closest friend. |

I could orgasm on this song. I know that sounds ridiculous but I love it THAT much. The line that always jumps out at me is, "If everyone became so sensitive, I wouldn't have to be so sensitive" - never a truer line spoken. I often listen to that line and just smile because it's what I think every single day. Serves me right for being so flipping sensitive. Awesome song. |

Hey guys; just to let you know, it's not "and closed the postcard of a painting" - it's "enclosed". Also it's, "Now I've made my bed, but you wouldn't lie down in it". You know the phrase, "I've made my bed, now I have to lie in it" - that's what it's based on. Just thought you should know! Also, what a fecking awesome song. I'd dedicate this song a thousand times over to my closest friend because it just makes me think of him whenever I listen to it. Particularly "you are just another thing I have yet to fathom"; he's so difficult to work out so often, but it's always worth the time. Of course there's also, "I'm losing more than I'll ever have, I'm losing more than I'll ever give to you" - it's so true, because I often feel like I'm losing something I've never had with this friend of mine, as well as what I could never give. Ah, what a song. What a brilliant song. |
