| Avenged Sevenfold – Dear God Lyrics | 17 years ago |

You people who claim to be fans of A7X and say this song sucks can go suck it. If all you wanted was mindless screaming, there are literally hundreds of crappy bands that know how to do only that. Go listen to them. Otherwise, open your mind and you musical taste. This is a great song. It also proves to me that they are an even better band than I originally thought. |

| Avenged Sevenfold – Critical Acclaim Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
First let me say that personally A7X are generally conservative in their personal political beliefs (that's what I've heard from many sources). This song is FIRST AND FOREMOST a criticism of certain people (most of whom are Progressive/Socialist in their thinking, coincidence or not) who criticize the war for political gain, insult the troops and "never contributed a fucking thing to the country they love to criticize." This song is in no way critical of President Bush, his policy's, any political party or any specific person. |

| Rush – Subdivisions Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"Some will sell their dreams for small desires" This line to me is the most profound and the deepest in the song. To me that line means we must not let government institute tyranny with the promise of taking care of us. That's just what I think, but quoting another Rush song, "Freewill" I don't think they would disagree. "You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill" The kindness that can kill line is what I'm referring to. |
