This is probably my favorite song on the album even though I love all the songs! The way it's sung is pretty different than anything i've heard. Anyway, this song is about someone who's been in a relationship with someone else and they are having a really hard time expressing their feelings, so they don't. ("There's a lot that you don't notice when you read between the lines") so they get into fights a lot. And then it's kind of like you just realize how you were played like a fool the entire relationship and you just get so upset that you don't ever want to talk to them again, hence "dont speak to me" At least thats how I interpreted the song. |

I think the song is about someone who is trying to get over a breakup and it’s hard for them to move on because this person believes in his heart that if they had stayed together they would’ve fell in love with each other. Now I have a question (and this may sound dumb but oh well): The part when Danny says “And I can’t take another night on my own so I take a breath and then I pick up the phone. She said ohh ohh ohh ohh” I’m pretty sure that meant that he called his ex to tell her how he felt and she just said “oh.” Like she didn’t feel the same way. If I am correct (which I’m almost positive) that is so heartbreaking–having these strong feelings you’ve never felt before and then have that person not feel the same. Story of my life. |
