| Cannibal Corpse – Raped By The Beast Lyrics

I'm sorry but your fucking stupid. You seriously need to reevaluate this, because it makes you look like quite a dip-shit to talk about something you don't know anything about. And if you actually think your right, i only hope you find mental help before you run headfirst into a wall and permanently injure yourself. But if you really think Cannibal Corpse writes music just to garner shocking reactions, you know absolutely nothing about the band. They play to play music. And their very talented at it. You have to be to sell 1.5 million albums with virtually no radio or television play. But your obviously too shallow minded and dim witted to realize that lyrics don't dictate what their music sounds like or how its composed. Notice they write the music before they even write the lyrics.
"here's just so little worth listening to because the Image Bands have to worry about how they do their makeup and costumes more than how their music sounds"
I don't know what the fuck you were trying to prove here. You amaze me by how little you know about the subject your trying to act like you know anything about. But back on topic, Cannibal doesn't wear makeup. they play on stage dressed normally, i don't know what band you were thinking off. And also, you give them shit for gory themed lyrics. Grow the fuck up. Its nothing different from a horror movie. Just because they don't write like Tool doesn't mean they can't. Lyrics don't have to be deep with subliminal meanings. Sometimes they just tell a story. I'd listen to Cannibal Corpse lyrics all day compared to the 10 million songs about how my girlfriend left me, probably the kind of lyrics your used to. So if your done looking like an ignorant jackass on a death metal discussion, where you obviously don't belong, you can go back listening to your shitty nu metal. |

| Cannibal Corpse – Mummified In Barbed Wire Lyrics

Thats bullshit. They make music because they love to do it, not to make money on some gore-driven publicity stunt. Because of their censorship issues, they get virtually no radio or television airtime, which actually greatly impairs their public image and, ultimately, their album sales. If they wanted to make money, they defiantly wouldn't write such controversial lyrics and if they wanted to make lyrics for sheer shock value, they could be alot more offending (see Anal Cunt). The fact that they sold over 1.5 million with these impairments is quite impressive. The fact remains that they're lyrics are no different from horror films or novels. Their an extremely talented band and I can't wait to see them this July. |

sweet first comment. great song off the new album. Cannibal Corpse still fucking rules. As for the song's meaning, a deadly manmade virus that causes people to murder others and eventually themselves overtakes humanity and eradicates it. Pretty straight forward. |

| All Shall Perish – When Life Meant More Lyrics

Its about refusing to conform to a world where people settle down, give up their hopes and dreams, and live boring lives consisting of going to work everyday and seeking wealth just because its expected of them. The lyrics strike out against people like this calling them weak sell outs and how the writer would rather struggle and fight than give in, because its a measure of himself as a man and its what he believes is right. |

I agree, but it could also have been birth complications caused by the mother smoking or drinking during pregnancy. "I keep replaying and reciting those mistakes you made." could refer to her doing drugs or smoking during pregnancy, maybe the reason why they broke up, ultimately leading to the baby's death. |

I think people look too deep for the Faceless's lyric's. You have to remember, they are death metal, and they're lyrics are pretty straight forward. Its not that they seek to elevate you to a higher level of thinking, but rather paint a graphic picture. This song obviously describes an uncurable plague striking the world and it killing everything in its path. People lose rationality and chaos sets in. It could very well be a reference to the Black death of the middle ages. But people just look too deep into to lyrics when theres nothing there (unless your like KrackedJars and smoke some very good bud, rofl. Forreal, your explanation for An Autopsy was alot deeper than i though it could go. Toke well my friend ;)) |

My favorite Winds of Plague song. I love what they do musically. Medolic Deathcore in standard tuning? Lol thats a smack in the face to every cliche' hardcore band that tuned to drop A just to sound "br00tal". Definitely something new. I'm not too big on their lyrics though. Their just not that interesting to me. |

This song is alright, but Winds of Plague has alot better to offer. The breakdown is quite nice. The music video is shit though. I actually laughed. Scene kids love to bitch about how bad WoP is when they've only seen that one video. Annoying pricks =P. |

| Bring Me the Horizon – Pray For Plagues Lyrics

not really. for one, I'm pretty sure Oli Sykes is 22-23. and 2, their music is great. they have brutal stage presence, and they have music skill. their band image helps, but its not the only reason their popular. Some really amazing bands have members that aren't attractive, and they enjoy the same if not more popularity. as xv said, they have their shit together. You can't just throw on some skinny jeans, straighten your hair, and pick up a guitar and start sweep picking like its nothing. They developed their music and style before their band image came togther. |

joshgrwk I see your point, but really, BMTH isn't really that cliche. You might say that considering so many bands have tried to copy their style( on side note, theres also the fact that half the female population between ages 13-16 love Oli Sykes). but music isn't always about originality. Its about self expression, and fuck, just doing what you love. Every band has their influences that mold and shape their sound. Its damn near impossible to be completely original. I haven't heard of a band that sounded quite like them before I heard them, then after I notice so many bands try to copy it. Don't be so critical. Its all about enjoying the music, not obsessively finding faults in it. Art = expression. |
