| Katie Herzig – Wish You Well Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I am graduating this year and I have to leave my best friend behind. For me, this song is about being so close and connected to someone and one day it is time for one of you to move on. This song is sad, but also accepting to the fact that everyone must move on at some point. I could see how people interpret it as death or a breakup, i think it's entirely based on what you're going through and what helps you relate to the song. | |

| Regina Spektor – Ballad of a Politician Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| actually i think its just about like "making it" in general.. the "but i am not a number not a name" its like when you're in an audition and they refer to you by your number& your name but you are so much more than that and can never be held down by it. | |
| Regina Spektor – Ballad of a Politician Lyrics | 16 years ago |

there's something about when regina swears or says something provocative-ish that is just like alskdfjal;siduf. i can't explain it but i love ittttt haha (: i think anyone else would think i was a freakk for saying that but i think any other hardcore regina fan would agree (: i can't wait for this song to come out! hopefully it will- cause i also always have wished she did a demo version of i cut off my hair.. ughhhhhhh... im in the "i just love this song" stage- not the "im gonna decode it" but i cant wait to hear people's take!!! |

| Regina Spektor – A Cooler Version of Yourself Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i agree with everyone but wanna know what i think is kinda cool.... say "a cooler version" out loud multiple times.. 1- a cooler version.. 2- a cool aversion.. (i like this one the best, aversion, strong hatred) 3- a cooler virgin... its sweet that this phrase when mumbled sounds like one of these three and they all tie in (: i know that's just a coincidence but still.. a very cool coincidence (: |

| Regina Spektor – Laughing With Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"we not laughing at god. we're all laughing with god." we're all one with god. i feel she could have either meant for that or meant for the immature "im not laughing AT you, im laughing WITH you." when in reality you're really just laughing at them and you're putting it politely so as not to hurt them(: either way, if the world was filled with more people like regina, we'd all be bettter off (: |

| Regina Spektor – Pavlov's Daughter Lyrics | 16 years ago |

i've noticed the christopher too! this song is fucking brilliant. thats all i can say. honestly. put my in a stark white room with no windows for the rest of my life. if this song is playing. i will be able to genuinely say i had the best life. :D :D im just so extremely pumped that there are people out there that appreciate this song the way i do. i feel like with regina's music, there's hope for the world. Cause i get trapped in regina spektor's music land. & thats where i want to be trapped. (: |

| Regina Spektor – Human of the Year Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| ooooooh i love jazzy06792's interpretation tooooo- thats what i imagine when i listen to this song 72 times a day... the other 72 times i like to think of a funeral xD wow we are not obsessed at all... hahaha | |
| Regina Spektor – Human of the Year Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
okay- this could be so far off but this is how i like to imagine this song... i think it's of a funeral. Carl "project"orinski (like a projection of your life, cause when you die, people are reviewing your life...) He has "won" in the sense that either he's made it to heaven if you want to think of it like that or he has won in the sense that when one passed away, people 99% of the time are just saying how wonderful they were, their accomplishments, they are just full of positive comments that most likely they didnt say while this person was still alive. Thus, human of the year, or at least you'd think by how people are talking about him. (till next year's big human winner)- till the next one passes, it's just a cycle. Why are you so scared? You stand there shaking in the pew. The icons are whispering to you, they're just old men, like on the benches in the park, except their balding spots are glistening with gold. i think the "you" in this is either the one who is dead, no, no actually i think it's just a person. kinda representing us as a whole. it's saying, don't be afraid, their just like us, except a little more holy xD balding spots glistening with gold are their "halos" i also used to think it was like... the icons are whispering to you (then she switches to a seperate idea) their just old men. but i like thinking of it now as the icons are whispering to you "their just old men like one the..." like the icons are whispering this, haha sorry i realize everyone probably got that the first time but it takes me a while to catch onto things :) "although they do not know it all mankind are now your brother" this is refering to us, who died now knows that yeah, we're all connected we're all brothers, yet we are oblivious. "thus the cathedral had spoken wishing well to all us sinners" after a death everyone suddenly starts evaluation their life, like crap, am i gonna make it to heaven? So a death kinda prompts and is the catalyst to people rethinking certain ways they've been living. (these are not my personal religious beliefs, i dont believe in hell or requirements to get into "heaven") it gives me chills the "hello hello calling a carl projecktorinski to the front of the cathedral you have won." i dont know that line just gives me such a visual. I think regina leaves a lot of her songs open to interpretation which i adore.of course she probably had an exact meaning for this song when she wrote it yet she doesnt spell it out for us which i think is brilliant. i used to think of this song as a mockery and sarcastic approach towards religion and how specifically catholics use fear and rules as the basis of religion. Which somedays i still do think that, but i also like thinking about it like this (: |

| Regina Spektor – Eet Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i worship regina. like for me, she can't do wrong. but, i do agree that i have to say i am a veryyyyy HUGE fan of her punk- im gonna record my own shit days, where her lyrics were raw and made you wanna just sit in her brain ... i do still adore this stuff, yes in a different light but a light nonetheless :D i keep thinking about the line.. "He hears that outside a small boy just started to cry 'Cause it's his turn, but his brother won't let him try." i keep trying to conjure up some sorta skewed meaning, any ideas? |

| Regina Spektor – Soho Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| wonder why she says re-gee-na rather than regina | |
| Regina Spektor – Soho Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i was reading on imdb that regina spektor appeared in a movie called "winning girls through psychic mind control" which i think was an independent film made in 2002 somewhere in nyc and apparently she was the "girl who lost her ring." which i just think is funny cause she says... "it's surprising how little things we lose I was walking through the streets of soho looking for a diamond ring but I didn't find a thing" i just like when you become infatuated with an artist and learn these little quirky facts about them cause then i feel like there's an inside joke you share. even though there isnt :D , but it's like, how many people would listen to this and think oh hey, she was in that movie blah blah blah... idk i get a tad carried away sometimes :) sorry if that made no sense :D |

| Regina Spektor – Consequence of Sounds Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think this song is brilliant. the way Regina words her thoughts is incredible.. to me, i think this song is pretty much just saying that we all have a voice, we have words, we have an outlet to say things and with that power comes responsibility and consequence. I dont know, thats what i like to get out of this song :) | |
