Part of the reason I believe this song is so beautiful is due to the fact that it is MATHmatically pleasing to the ear. Yet more proof that MJK is an absolute genius. If you listen to the first stanza of this song, the syllables of the lyrics follow the Fibonacci sequence (1,1,2,3,5,8) and then back down from 8 (5,3). Red(1 syl.) then(1) white are(2) all I see(3) in my infancy(5) red and yellow then came to be(8) reaching out to me(5) let's me see(3) There are also other instances throughout the song, regarding math references to the Fibonacci sequence. Mainly, they are referenced through time signatures. Just for thought. I thought that was pretty amazing. |
