I interpret this song as being evil and creepy. We will drag you down, to the gates of hell, when you try to escape we're holding on.... The shift is coming down - pole shift, 2012, new world order, the new age - which they also mention in another song...as well as the end of the world... I wrote about my thoughts on Pendulum under "Blood Sugar" already. It's a shame cos I liked them a lot, they have some dope tunes, but it did always feel a bit to the evil side, (sometimes that's what's so intriguing and strangely alluring?), but now that I've realised their spiritual vibe I think they're pretty wack. Why support evil, when you could support good? I will never get this. |

I have my own theory about Pendulum - that they're Satanists! Lol, but yeah really. I think this for many reasons... First, almost all their lyrics could be interpreted this way - they talk a lot about being "on the other side", selling their soul, dragging you down with them, being dragged down, going to the gates of hell, etc.... One of the times i saw them play they opened with the line 'the greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he doesn't exist'...their visuals the same night were pictures of trees and then you zoom in and it's a demon's face, keep zooming in, the face changes again another evil face, back out and it's a tree etc. They also talk about the end of the world, and that it's been such a long time coming, and the time is nearly here etc. which many Satanists believe is when they and their ruler will openly rule, they've been working towards this for a very long time, NWO stuff I guess which would make sense if they're politically right wing as well. (That's interesting info too, how did your friend know that Joker 91?) One other thing is their hold your colour album cover has a single blue eye, this is the symbol of the Illuminati, the eye of Horus which was an ancient Satanic symbol. I haven't heard the creepy backwards thing you were talking about Zadamanim but it would make sense if what I'm thinking is true... I may be wrong but it's interesting don't you think? |
