Daniel is pretty stinkin creative and real in the lyrics. This song reminds me of how i felt when i went through a bad relationship. I choose to take the "let the fire warm my back" part as tossing the relationship and all the crap that went with it in the ground and letting it burn into the past as my back gathers heat.

I took this song to be about cutting and physical pain of life as well as death but that they're emphasizing life by saying "would you kill for what destroys you". I think they would say no and that they're talking about suicide from a suicidal point of view. Great song. |

I feel that this song is talking about Sin and how it can appear to be beautiful at first and exotic. Then after a while the life and the "air" gets sucked out of you to the point where you don't even know who you are anymore. Or it could be an addiction that's weighing this dude down and he feels surpressed by it and can't get out. |
