farbeyond has it right for the most part, but it he definitely says "GATEWAYS" not "CAN'T ARISE" |

Did you know these guys still tour ? Yeah, neither did I. My friend's band is playing a show with them the fifteenth. It should be quite a laugh. |

| The Acacia Strain – Dr Doom Lyrics

I could see how this song would be about touring, but I could also see how it could be about Dr. Doom. I don't think it really is about the good Doctor, but Patriz had a good point. |

WHAT THE FUCK !? NO ONE HAS FUCKING COMMENTED ON THIS SONG ?
Holy shit, the breakdown intro is so fucking good, that shit doesn't get old.
And I fucking hate breakdowns, so that's saying something. |

| American Me – Black Malicious Lie Lyrics

I think this was a good song to pick for the video, because the lyrics actually go along with the video. The two main characters of the video are lying to themselves and everyone around them. This isn't the best American Me song, but it's certainly a tight ass tune. |

| Xiu Xiu – I Luv the Valley OH! Lyrics

I think the valley is a reference to a cut, as in a self inflicted wound. If someone has already suggested it, I'm sorry I was unable to read through the seventy other entries. |

| Impending Doom – Nailed. Dead. Risen. Lyrics

I always felt like this song was kind of a shoutout to Rose Funeral's Crucify Kill Rot. Especially "Despise our savior, just remember: 'nailed. dead. risen.'" I like Rose Funeral a lot more, but this song is rad. |

Scogin said this was about a show in Nashville. Specifically, he felt that he didn't give the show his all by having his mind on the business of music. |

| The Number Twelve Looks Like You – Glory Kingdom Lyrics

I think it's about looking for a lover whilst bar hopping. At least that's what I think of when I listen to it. The phallic image of the sword wrapped in flesh, the reference to feeding on knots of skin. |

| Bright Eyes – Gold Mine Gutted Lyrics

To me this song speaks about the social aspect of Conor's drug use. He did, or does, a lot of drugs, but always manages to keep his head. When he sings the verse about a girl from class to to touch, I think he's referencing the egotistical aspect of drugs. Someone who things about himself to much doesn't have much luck with anyone else. Then finally Conor begins to slow down, and begins watching other people from the sidelines of drug use. As he began to lag behind, he watched his friends hurry on to their deaths. That's probably been established already, I just wanted to type something while listening to such a bad ass song. |

Hahaha, when I listen to this song I can't help but to think of DL from The Acacia Strain saying "I'm soooooo over it."
Don't believe the hype. |

| Fall Out Boy – Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division cover) Lyrics
| 17 years ago

This song should not have more comments than the original Joy Division song. I understand that Fall Out Boy is the band of the week, and has been for God knows however long you preteen assholes have been buying their vomit, but there is no band ( Xiu Xiu aside ) who should be covering Joy Division. Rats off to ya. |
