I personally think this is a great song. It hits home pretty good for me cuz I am a recovering heroin addict. Using drugs is truly a pursuit of happiness. Thats all your looking for, the best high which is the greatest happiness. When your not on the drug you lay away in your bed with cold and hot sweats all night living a nightmare of withdrawl symptoms till the next time you get high. I feel like this song really captures how an addicts life it. You dont really care about the trails of tomorrow while your high, you will be fine once you get it, and thats happiness. Heroin shines but it should not be gold, white or brown, it is gold to an addict. Thats my opinion dont jump all over my back cuz i say its about drugs. I just feel like it is.

O.A.R. – Heard the World Lyrics

I think this song has alot of meanings. 911, depression, this sad world to name a few. I really feel like it puts alot of depression. I am bipolar and very depressed all the time. I also had a drug problem. I think this song really captured my feelings when I was "caught up in the fight of my life". No one really understands how you feel, you cant explain it and the world seems so cold and upsetting when your depressed. This song hits me every time i listen to it. I just always felt my freinds didnt understand and couldnt help. They would try but they just really didnt get it. I dont know thats what it means to me. Very powerful song, very strong lyrics. Gives me chills when i listen to it loud. Love it. OAR rocks.

This song like many 3Oh!3 songs is not very deep and the lyrics really paint the picture they are trying to let out. Not very much symbolism and metaphors at all. Great music. Love alot of their songs. Really awesome at partys and stuff. Just its not very deep at all. Good music doesnt have to be deep though.

There is no doubt that the whole wish you were here album is to Syd. This song is written for him and its pretty obvious. Its talking about how on drugs syd really cant tell right from wrong, comfort from pain, beauty from horror, happiness from sadness. The drugs took everything away from him. Its about how he just really isnt at all who he was and how they wish he was back and not on the drugs so they can have their friend and fellow band member back. Were powerful and strong song. One of my favories by far. I will have this played at my funeral. So beautiful.

Dovetail Joint – Level on the Inside Lyrics

This is a really good song. I cant beleive that its been out for so long with no comments. I think he is talking about mental disorders he or someone he knows may have and how that makes them feel on the inside. Level on the inside, level on the outside might mean that his mood is level or stable. I have bipolar disorder and i sorta feel like this song makes sense. These pills try to level you out but they dont really take it away.
