This is my favorite song of all time and sometimes I think the song was written about my life haha....But this is how interpret it. He's chasing her heart because he cares about her so much but she cant see that and keeps on running with it. He's scared that he wont get to experience her being with him and he knows hes the one that can make her happy and smile again.
