Yes this is a very haunting song especially the part : "I reach for her hand and her eyes turn to poison, and her flesh turns to brine, she leaps cross the room, she stands in the window and screams that my firstborn will surely be blind," its imagery that could have been taken from a nightmare. I also agree with everything bjort says but would like to add that I recall reading mythologist joseph campbell talk about a native american myth where a young man gives into temptation and then his lover turns into a snae |
