These coulda been the only words in the song and he would still be a lyrical genious Just sit and mull over how deeply profound this statement is. Everything said (and not said) in the song all forms perfectly together into this one, simple, overlooked line. beautiful. if you dont understand the song, the real message is before the verses even start. |

I love Tupac, and I love this song, & i don't understand why this song has so few comments on it. :( Thank the Lord for my kids, even if nobody else want em Cuz I think we can make it, in fact Im sure & if ya fall stand tall and come back for more how inspirational..... i love this man!!! R.I.P. And i dont think Tupac contradicts himself, u just gotta understand him. He a G regardless, but he know the way that he & everyone else alike livin is self-destructive & eventually gotta change, but its on us to make that step. binomral, there is nothing contradictory about the two lines you showed. My stomach hurts so i'm looking for a purse to snatch i ain't never do a crime i have to do he's not saying he never did a crime before, he's saying he HAD to steal the purse because he was hungry and he needed money to eat... and you can say go get a job all you want, but by the time he find an opening for a job he's qualified for, gets the application, fills it out, turns it in, goes through the interview, gets the job, goes through training, starts work, and finally gets his first pay check, he'll have starved to death. put yourself in someone else shoes before you judge them. And just wondering, have you ever been hungry a day in your life? I mean real hunger, when you don't know when the next time your going to get food is, when it might be days, before you get to eat again? No, i didn't think so. |

I agree with Lmonge93, i think that her lover is leaving to travel the world, and shes telling him to go ahead and go. "pack up", but she reminding him "dont stray" because all the other girls across the MAPS dont love him like she does, because shes the girl for him "my kinds your kind" and the people and places he visits may change, but she'll always stay the same. this is one of my favorite songs, and i'm not really into this genre. i just know it from guitar hero lol. |
