I think this song has to do with a neighbor who plans to commit a sucide or homicide. The other parts of it about the baker and the astronomer are stuff that is happening in other people's lives to serve as a comparison. Whatever it means, it is such a fantastic song!! |

This song always makes me cry because it reminds me of my mom. She died of stomach cancer when I was only 14 years old and I miss her everyday. My history teacher actually gave me a tape cassette of this song and I still have it. A friend of hers from college gave it to her after one of her parent's died and my teacher passed it onto me at a time when I needed it. |
