The Jam – Start! Lyrics 15 years ago
I'm shocked nobody's said this, but the music on this one is basically a reworking of The Beatles "Taxman." It's unmistakable. I mean, you guys are hearing that, aren't you?

Billy Squier – Rock Me Tonite Lyrics 16 years ago
You know, for a short time, Billy Squier was about as good as it go.
And for all the songs clearly celebrating one night stands, this one may be the best.
This may be way serious analysis, but the entire song, he's speaking to his partner, rather than simply yapping about getting off. I mean, in the context of a one-night stand, this is actually romantic.
Always liked the song, never took the time to get all the lyrics. Makes me like it more.

Cheap Trick – Tonight It's You Lyrics 17 years ago
It is insanity that this song has not been commented on.
For my money, it is Cheap Trick's very best. The title track from the album, Standing on the Edge, is another fantastic forgotten classic. But the best thing about the song?
"You don't know what it feels like loving you."
The best lyric ever about breathless and desperate love.

REO Speedwagon – Tough Guys Lyrics 17 years ago
This is just a hugely underrated song.
Can Gary Richrath freaking play guitar?
Can Kevin Cronin sing with the energy of a live performance in the studio?
I've always thought REO is a very underrated band for all the good stuff you hardly ever heard on the rado. Tough Guys is a great example. Completely forgotten off Hi Infidelity, but a great song.
The meaning? Duh.
She doesn't like the tough guys!
