I love this song so much,it's so pretty. I think this song is self explainitary, it's about being in love and even they always find each other in the end if something comes up that seperates them probably like fights, and him being away and stuff and her not being cared for enough but hes still trying to protect her. like this part of the song reminds me of protection Even now I can smell your skin To wrap you in a towel Lay you on the bed And try to love you |

Kill the messenger I swear it's not me It's just someone I used to know And get to church 'Cause you're a good girl And I never told you that And all I need from you Could be the thing that leaves us both up here forever I'm gonna send a little rain your way I'm gonna send a little rain I think this song could be about him influencing this girls life in a bad way and that he has to let her go because he's ruining her life up. I don't know how the first line "kill the messenger" fits because to me it reminds me of the saying "don't shoot the messenger" for when someone tells another person information because someone wanted them to..and then the person getting mad at them? so i thought he was talking about that in this song.. the part when hes like 'get to church cause your good girl, and i never told you that" is about when hes realizing hes screwing up her life and wants her to stop and start new but he can't change with her..which is where the line after that says "And all I need from you Could be the thing that leaves us both up here forever" and i love the line 'i'm gonna send a little rain your way" cause rain is like cleansing, and he wants to to help wash away her sins it's probably the totally wrong meaning but its just a thought |
