Don't worry your head just go to sleep. ---well it's a lullabye so the child doesn't know about all the bad in the world yet, which is a definite contrast from the positive outlook you naturally are born with and have when you're younger. he's saying not to worry about that yet though because he should enjoy his innocence and his youth, and maybe always try to keep that positive outlook on life? because a lot of people aren't able to and become very jaded It doesn't matter how you feel, life is just a Ferris wheel, its always up and down, don't make a sound. ---you're gonna have a lot of problems and life and you'll have good times and bad times and have your up and downs and successes and failures but the failures will pass. if something bad happens then you need to not complain about it or it's unfairness but wait for it to pass or fix it. When you wake up the world will come around, when you wake up the world will come around. ---don't fret over things that you can't control. this reminds me of the saying 'when you reach rock bottom, you've got nowhere to go but up'. or maybe just don't worry about things that you don't have to. It's just the sweet weather and the peacock feathers and the morning it will all be better. ---don't worry because the bad will pass so just sit back and let fate take it's course, eventually everything will be better. this song is pretty much one of the cutest things i have ever heard and every person i know who has heard it has completely adored it. every time i hear it i just wanna cry. i guess it might be so likable because it makes people feel nostalgic and look back on childhood when everything was innocent to them and the evils of the world had not yet been unveiled to you yet. it makes you remember childhood, and miss it. |

I am such a sucker And I'm always the last to know ---he's oblivious and maybe a bit naive and always tends to believe and see the best in people and doesn't take in their faults and what they could do to him My insides are copper I'd kill to make them gold ---he wishes that he could be a better person, maybe he feels like he's not good enough for a girl Conversation got me here: another night alone in the city ---maybe him and some girl go into a fight and now he's all alone, or possibly he found something out from somebody about this girl that upset him and made him angry and now their over and he's alone So make my bed the grave and shovel dirt onto my sheets ---she's already betrayed him and maybe he loved her a lot and he feels like his heart is dead? maybe he's trying to say that she killed his insides so why not finish the job/take care of the mess that she made. Turn this up I'll tune you out ---if she wants to try to start drama with him then he'll ignore her because he just doesn't care what she has to say. or maybe if she tries to turn the situation around and blame him then he'll do something to retaliate or even just tell everybody the truth about what happened. Fake it like you matter-that's a lie we can both keep, ohh ---the girl tries to be more than she is and tries to make herself seem important when really she's nothing big, it's all in her head. or maybe she's acting like a good person when really she's just a bitch and he's saying her being a good person is a total lie but he won't tell anyone about her real bitchiness. OR it could even mean that maybe they lied to each other about how much the really cared for each other and they tried to make their relationship a bigger, more important thing than it really was. |

How cruel is the golden rule When the lies we lived are only golden plated ---golden rule means pretty much being a good person and doing the right thing and people are always trying to be something their not and makes themselves seem like good people to get where they need to in the world (manipulating people to get to higher places?) . And I knew that the lights of the city were too heavy for me ---he thought that he could handle everything his way (maybe fame?) but now he's learned that maybe he isn't strong enough And though I carry karats for everyone to see ---he's bragging about everything and being too flashy when secretly he might be ashamed of the way he got to where he is? maybe he's realized that he's being too flashy with everything and he should be more humble? And I saw god cry in the reflection of my enemies ---maybe he's reached the point where he's betrayed so many people and has so many enemies that it seems that 'god' would be disappointed because he needs to start caring more about people. he's not leading his life the 'right' way. And all the lovers with no time for me ---maybe he's pushed people away and no he has no one there to love him, therefore making him colder and causing some of the problems also mentioned. maybe he's changed a lot and people don't like the person that he's become. And all of the mothers raise their babies, to stay away from me ---well this could relate to the fact that some parents don't like there kids listening to fob and that kind of music cause they feel that it's 'emo' and misleading to their children. the more obvious one would be that the person that this guy has become is the kind of person that no one would want their children to become. Tongues on the sockets of electric dreams ---not sure but maybe it could mean that people take a lot of risks to reach their goals and dreams and a lot of people get hurt in the process (people obviously are taking a risk when sticking their tongue in a socket) When the sewage of youth drown the spark of my tears ---not sure but it could mean that he doesn't like what he sees in the youth now and that he feels that his problems are nothing compared to theirs. like all of their problems would totally smash whatever problems he has. |

i feel like when he says 'tiger' in the chorus that he might just be referring to or giving a shout out to Tyga who is in fact his cousin and around when this album was released Tyga was up and coming. But idk- just random input. |
