This song has such a strong message, and it's not very often that you come by songs with a clear message and lyrics that aren't corny at the same time. I've always love the song, but it hits home especially now, because I've been with this guy on and off for the past two years, but kept letting him go and looking for something else thinking that someone else would be right for me. "Maybe you've started to compare to someone not there.." We almost got back together for a third time, but I told him I didn't want to risk hurting him again, and now he is with one of my very good friends and the whole situation is just killing me. "Maybe you lost her to another.." But the stongest line I feel is when he says "Perfection will not come." You hear how passionate he is and how it breaks his heart that things will never feel completely right. It seems that I always feel this way, and I know I'm not alone in that. |

| i think his songs are beautiful. i really feel what he's feeling and what he's trying to say. i can see how most people would think it sounds like he's whining, but i just think the emotion is so strong. | |
