Maybe it's about restriction, you can't do anything without being told off and you're lucky enough to be allowed to breathe! Pretty much like today really lol but that's another thing about Poly's lyrics, a lot of them still have a strong meaning/message in today's society. Seriously underrated I think. Not entirely sure what the "popper beads" and "pet rat" lines are about though... |

I absolutely love this song, my all time favourite. I agree with simplycomplx, BUT I think it makes the other person feel very insecure rather than making them "look bad". ;-) |

I said this once on the GarbageDiscogaphy message board.... "In my lover's arms I wait for morning I beg my God to speak and tear me apart" I think that "God" has nothing to with a greater being, but as in the man she loves, adores, worships... She's begging for some kind of reaction from him for whatever it is she's done, but he's giving her the silent treatment. |
