Pat Benatar – My Clone Sleeps Alone Lyrics 16 years ago
How about you grow up. You obviously think you're pretty cool. But you come off as plain sad.

Clutch – Abraham Lincoln Lyrics 16 years ago
Lyrics are incorrect. Should be;
"Oh, Abraham Lincoln, carried across Ninth Street.
Oh, Abraham Lincoln, carried across Ninth Street.
The assassin, the coward, shot him in the head.
The assassin, the serpent, stuck him then he fled.

Oh, many, many, many, people gather to hear the word.
Oh, many, many, many, people tremble at what they’ve heard.
Snickering drunkards from cover of dark.
Treachery’s their master. Murder is their art.

From the temple grips his chair.
Watch the people climb the stairs.
Watch the leaves grow then fall
Blow across the empty mall.

Oh, Abraham Lincoln, buried and in his grave.
Oh, Abraham Lincoln, buried and in his grave.
The assassin, the coward, no grave for you.
The assassin, the actor, no applause for you."

Clutch – The Amazing Kreskin Lyrics 16 years ago
The Amazing Kreskin is a famous mentalist. Had a show in the 1970s. I think there's a few references to mentalism here. Certainly the rock, paper, scissors line, as a popular mentalist feat is to win everytime at the game or to win, lose or draw as the audience dictates.
Several other Clutch songs include lyrics about psychics, which mentalists often spend time debunking.

Clutch – The Great Outdoors! Lyrics 16 years ago
This song has always struck me as a skeptic's song. Like several other Clutch songs it has lyrics about those who claim to has supernatural powers and use the claims for fame and fortune.
The first and second verses seems to be talking about closed minded people. The line about blaming it on the alcohol suggests to me a dismissal by those people or even an excuse for bad behavior (the kind the closed minded love to make).

Clutch – Careful With That Mic Lyrics 16 years ago
Excellent slam on lazy song writers. I'd have to agree that if it's about a specific person Durst is number 1 candidate.
I doubt many professional rappers could do nearly as well as this track.

I'd say it's about con artists that use beliefs to trick people, from evangelists to spiritualists.

Rob Zombie – Living Dead Girl Lyrics 16 years ago
Wikipedia says; "It was named after Jean Rollin's 1982 film. The line, "Who is this irresistible creature who has an insatiable love for the dead?" in the beginning of the song is from the trailer of the film, Lady Frankenstein. The music in the beginning of the song is taken from the trailer of the Wes Craven film, The Last House on the Left...In this song, Zombie sings, "Goldfoot's machine creates another fiend so beautiful they make you kill". This relates to the villain played by Vincent Price in the 1965 film Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine and the 1966 film Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs. Also, he sings "Operation Filth they love to love the wealth of an SS whore making scary sounds." This is possibly a reference to the notorious 1974 film Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS."

Also, the video is an homage to Robert Wiene's 1920 movie The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

I've always thought it talking about a darkly seductive woman and her power over others. Perhaps in service to a single master, while making all others her master.
The line "blood on her skin" sounds to me like a rephrasing of "blood on her hands", as in she's done evil deeds. Thus, she is the one dripping with sin.

Ozzy Osbourne – I Just Want You Lyrics 17 years ago
I always thought it was "married Lenin's daughter". since the plastic bottle line then makes sense as an anti-capitalist line. also perhaps laying blame on capitalism for the drug abuse. But i can't find many sites offering that version of the line.
dajaun, where did you get that he's religious? I can't find anything that says he is or ever has been religious. Only claims that he is a Satanist. Claims probably made by censorship groups. And if he is, what religion is he? several major religions don't have gods at all.

Pat Benatar – Hit Me with Your Best Shot Lyrics 17 years ago
To me, the meaning is in the first verse. She seems to be talking to a man who is known as a heart-breaker. A guy that Perhaps even uses women and then leaves them. But Pat is saying that even though she knows this about him, she still wants to be with him. Then the third verse line of "Before I put another notch in my lipstick case" seems to be saying that she is really just like him and that's why she wants to be with him. Like saying "push me away like all the other girls, but unlike them i'll keep coming back.

Well Ian-sama, maybe instead of posting 3 cloned comments making fun of an excellent song, perhaps you'd enlighten us as to the "obvious" meaning.
