this is actually an autobiographical song. In the beggining he talks about a drunk man getting his front foor slammed in his face by his wife. Thats reffering to jimi's parents, his dad drank quite a bit and his parents frequently fought. And when hes talking about playing wargames in the woods with his indian friends, hes reffering to his childhood when he use to go into the woods after school and pretend hes an indian chief. Finally, the woman in the wheel chair he talks about is his mother who was hospitalized for her drinking and when the kids visited she was in a wheel chair but left two weeks later, but then two weeks after that was found dead in an alley.Im currently reading room full of mirrors, so i know. |
