I believe this song is about how all relationships revolve around what happens at night time...for instance he describes the "stillness in my heart and the roar of the approaching night" showing its day time now and there is stillness, but there is a roar approaching..the night. People brake up and make up at night "Somebody turns the corner out of sight" "When you hold your baby tight" Also there is a sense of nostalgia in this song as jackson remenisces about the love he and his partner used to have "When just outside there are people laughing Living lives we used to lead" one of my favourite songs by him. |

I think its about how people dont go looking very hard for true love. Instead they just take what comes "Wait around for the one who fits just like a glove" But unfortunatly true love doesnt just come around when people wait for it, and instead they often end up finding love which is not completely real, instead, it is only "In the shape of a heart" ..and this is what causes the holes in the walls...etc.. very powerful song though, and probably true for many relationships. |

This is such a good song, cant believe there are no comments. I think jackson is trying to say when people wrong you forget about them and move on. He is trying to say you dont need anything or anyone in your life who hurts you. "Forget your heroes, You don't really need those last few lessons." He goes on to say that you should choose your own path in life and not care about what other people may think. "Don't look to see if you're alone. Just stand your ground, And don't turn around, whatever happens. Don't ask directions," |
