Haha, I could've sworn most of this song was sung in Vonlenska (aka gibberish.) Shows how little I understand girls, I guess. Haha. I agree with brad7a0 now that I can actually read the lyrics. |

I disagree, this isn't much like the old OLP, it's a lot like the songs on the last album. I enjoy it, though. They're growing and reshaping their music and style. Although, the thing I miss the most is Raine's falsetto [which only appears for 2 words in this entire album, both words are in this song - "Like" and "That"]. That was a gigantic part of the OLP sound, in my opinion, and it feels like the songs are missing something with out it now. I also really miss Mike Turner's guitar parts. I liked the progressive rock feel of Naveed, the most, but I've pretty much loved everything since [in fact it was Gravity that got me into the band]. Regardless, this band is what they are now and I love them just the same. They'll hopefully continue to make music in any style they feel inspired to make. |

I think it's about someone on anti-depressants. From those I know who are on 'em, it pretty much feels like you're numb or in someone elses body or something and just leaves you apathetic about everything. "The pill dissolved/It’s flushing out everything I care about and not replacing it with anything substantial" And in the first act, he's pretending to be happy [putting on a show for everyone]. "Straight-jacket mind" [i.e. he has some sort of chemical imbalance in his brain and the pill is taking over his brain confining him, which leads into "My brain is cloudy, leveled out" |
