Frightened is my all time new favorite band! they are so perfect i can barely contain myself when i hear them! Their lyrics are unconventional yet they hold so much meaning! i love it. This song is pretty self explanatory. He's trying to leave, but he's not ready to, which is why he has to walk backwards, cause he's not ready to leave. to turn his back would make it more final. "and when i write them out they don't make sense i need you to pencil in the rest" thats my favorite part. he wants to fill in the blanks of his life, and he needs her to do that. |

This song almost makes me cry everytime i hear it. It's so beautiful. To me the line " shirt tucked in and my shoes untied" means that they make an effort to make things normal, but they can't quite manage it. They put on a brave face, but everyone can see through it. |
