| Paul McCartney – Too Many People Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
You took your lucky break and broke it in two... The first eight lines basically seem to be saying, That not many people can have what the Beatles did, And yet John still had to end it in flames. Its sort of like saying you should appreciate it, Especially when so many others are trying to obtain it. Its a shame they had to break up, They were the best pairing in the musical world. |

| The White Stripes – There's No Home For You Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Anyone who says they it doesn't sound intensely similar to Dead Leaves is just being naive fans. I love the White Stripes to death, but hell the first time I heard this song I could predict every guitar note (aside from the wailing in the background). I hate when bands plagiarize themselves, but I forgive them (not like they need my forgiveness or anything) because that happens to the best of artists sometimes. Its just when something comes naturally do you during recording, sometimes that happens. However his vocals are entirely different, but for me, his vocals always come in second to his guitar. The way he plays is what draws me into them ;__; <333 Love the lyrics, love the sound, love the song, just wish it didnt have to have a copy. |

At first I thought he was talking about beating a woman. Now I'm just not sure anymore u__u. Is this song a cover of an old song? It seems like it. Depending on how old it is it might really be about abuse XD |

| The White Stripes – Take, Take, Take Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think what I like most about this is that its from the fans point of view rather than the annoyed celebrity. I think that that form makes the meaning hit home a little bit more. That being said, why cant I edit my response? ;__; I wouldn't have posted twice, otherwise... |

Pretty much, its about a person who fools himself into thinking he is what he really isn't. He pretends as though he's so content, but he keeps asking for more, while trying to put up a cool demeanor to impress said celebrity. "Its almost as if she didn't appreciate how cool I was bein'" He ends up pretty much tormenting her until she leaves and then doesn't quite understand why. And still after how reasonable she was about the whole situation he wants more from her no matter how much she gave to this stranger. And yet he thinks, "I guess you couldnt call me greedy". Take, take, take. |

| The White Stripes – The Hardest Button to Button Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I always thought the baby was in the box. After reading the comments I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so XD But I will always leave the song up to interpretation because knowing Jacks style, It could either just be entirely literal and very ~simple~ or it could have very dark undertones, Or it could have a meaning that is way out there. |

| The Raconteurs – Five on the Five Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I doubt its about masturbation. And why do people say things like "He's probably more well endowed than 5" when there's no possible way to even have the slightest clue XD I love JW but I'm not gonna pretend I know personal things about him when he doesn't know I exist lmao. Star obsessive people with delusions... People with wishful thinking read too much into one line that MIGHT mean that and ignore the fact that the rest of the song has NOTHING to do with that. I think this is the first time I've actually disliked Jack White lyrics. Though, I am completely hooked to the song as a whole. I love how upbeat and fun it is, and the live performances I've watched are great =D |
