I used to know a guy who's cousin worked for Nothing around the time the Fragile came out. and if it's true it can't really be proven and disproved because if trent wanted to hide it he could very well do it. but I was told around the time his grandmother died he was dating a girl who was pregnant with his child who then had a miscarriage "thought he lost everything, then he lost a whole lot more" I can't back it up but it's what I heard. |

it's in direct link to his grandfather. manson used to spend hours in his grandfathers basement where I guess there was all kind of creepy things. but the thing that stuck out most to him was his grandfathers trainset. I'm sure there is alot of other influences in the song but it does have to do with his childhood around his grandfather. it was in his book. |

actually bloodnut is the closest to the actual meaning of the song pretty much dead on. Even those who "read" the autobiography have failed to remember or mention the fact that manson wrote and recorded Tourniquet hours after his girlfriend at the time had a miscarriage. the song is about Manson's in ability to truly cope with the tortures life continiously spews at him and in that moment the loss of his unborn child. |
