I first heard of the Streets a few months ago bc my friend from france is a fan. i live in the states and feel I've been deprived of meaningful lyrics(for the most part) I love this song I think ur meant to like Tim more-hence the voice and valid points I believe its titled theIrony of it All bc the laws are al rather ironic. Alchol has bad effects to health, behavior and wrecks while the other has little to none. Bravo. \m/ |

I just want to start by Saying I love Regina Spektor and its both a shame her only well-known song is Fidelity and a blessing bc t would be sad if she was entirely mainstream. Also people who comment that the song is "catchy" or hip hop...wow. lol "My rhyme ain't good just yet My brain and tongue just met and they ain't friends so far My words don't travel far They tangle in my hair and tend to go nowhere They grow right back inside right past my brain and eyes into my stomach juice where they don't serve much use No healthy calories nutrition values and I absorb back in the words right through my skin They sit there festering inside my bowels" I interpret this as...Regina acknowledging that she struggles with trying to tell a complex message with only her words and feels her words are useless. Or perhaps that she has to use metaphors bc there arent words to explain what she is trying to.
