I believe that it's a girl trying to commit suicide, and something coming to her saying, No matter how bad you screwed up, you'll never get a chance to learn from your mistake if you kill yourself. I believe this person the song is talking about is about a girl who got teased for being different, who got teased about everything. And finnaly cracked. Is it that hard to get a song? And, the same thing gets to her everytime, when people don't try to get to know her for her. And, she tries cutting, and tries suicide. Bullying does lead to poor self image. |

I've actually thought about it, and it sounds so much like someone dying that they really cared about. But, he does sound really pissed about the whole thing. Maybe a death of a child, that he never got to see? That would explain 'the water for the dead tree' thing. If you think about it, the trees are our children, It's our responsibility to take care of them. Even the dead need recognition sometime down the road. Maybe he is saying 'I still care'. This song is extremely great, but also at the same time, it makes you wonder what type of pain suicidal people go through. I love this song to death, this has got to be my favorite song that he has done (besides symbiont). I cried so hard to this song. I know this is about mental walls as everyone else has said.
