All the talk about the meaning reminds me of another song from their labelmates the hushies 'sweet tangerine' cuz they say 'if i could i'd lock you up and toss out the key, its just you and me' But i think that songs more about a stalker ex-boyfriend. ^^ |

Cobra Starship was pretty much created in '05 and his last band Midtwon kinda started to turn a little emo... was kinda emoish... that's why he started this band. To have something completely different and new for him. |

Ryland only made the music. Gabe wrote the words and he seems to insert his name spelled in atleast one song per album (although there are only 2 cds to base that off of). I think for a while they just called the riff... oh gawd its been so long i can't even remember. It was something obscene such as 'lick my balls' or something... gah... its going to kill me. I will find it just not tonight. its too late and i need to sleep ^^ |

If you want a shit version of 'what's this' go listen to Flyleaf's version and stop complaining about FOB version.
I have nothing against Flyleaf they're one of my favorite bands but that peice of shit is the worst cover i've ever heard. D: I have NO idea what the hell they were thinking. I'm am VERY, VERY disappointed in Flyleaf for that massacre i hold them up higher than that.
So quit your bitchin. FOB did an amazing job covering this song. ^^ |

I do hear the 'oh f**k, oh f**k' part, its really fast and it does make sense like he's wondering what exactly does makes her so special. Like he's thinking he really shouldn't be thinking about her or something.
for the last part i do hear 'hey lover, if you don't take your medication' there's no way that I can get 'take me places' out of that although it would make more sense with the rest of the song. But 'the sleep for days' makes more sense with the medication theory, since it could be a sleep aid... like ambian. And the second part sounds more like 'sit or stay' but that doesn't make much sense either. and at the very end he definitely says something between the last 'i want to get stuck' and 'in your memories' although im not too sure on what. |

If you go by the way of a lost love or even the affair Mr. Sandman is a reference to insomnia. Like the speaker is losing sleep over it... but not sure about the beam, cuz a beam suggests a wide smile. Maybe a little craziness from the insomnia is the cause of it. The walls that are leaning in could be other people around the speaker or another effect of the insomnia if the speaker thinks they're trying to listen in on him. Just some suggestions. |
