Am I the only person who thinks it's supposed to be "Who took the BOMB from..." which makes the line make more sense as "bomb" and "ram" would be the political punch that the lyrics of the attacked groups lack. |

First, for a punk rock song this isn't insulting in the least.
Second, this is my favorite song on the album by far.
Third, the philosophical debate here IS left unresolved. Although Goldfinger does imply that religion (example - christianity) is completely off-base at understanding existence and superficial (handjobs for jesus is such a sarcastic, powerful phrase to describe this), also note that the beginning part (the atheist who is "scrutinizing, hypothesizing, philosophizing") is completely unsatisfied as well.
I think Goldfinger is trying to say that nobody really has the answers so stop acting like it. |
