Kate Voegele – Wish You Were Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is one of my favorites by Kate Voegele. It's so beautiful and real. This is my take on it -

You love someone, but all you're really in love with is your idea of them. This could be either what you want them to be or who they used to be. And once they've betrayed you, you finally see who they've become, but you're still so much in love with the person you've created out of them that that's the only thing that matters anymore. Most of the time keeping that idealistic person in your life means much more to you than reality.

Erin McCarley – Pony Lyrics 16 years ago
I love this song, it's probably one of my all-time favorites. I think it's pretty simple to understand - she just wants to accept and be herself. The lyrics are so beautifully written, and they can have multiple meanings if you think about it differently, and it's not just the teenybopper "I'm gonna be myself" crap.

Robert Pattinson – Never Think Lyrics 16 years ago
I despise this song. The lyrics are alright, but if they're "so much like Twilight", then it signifies the abusive relationship between Bella and Edward. His voice sounds like a dying man. And people just like the song 'cuz he's cute! Judge his vocals, NOT HIS STUPID FACE.

Vanessa Carlton – Annie Lyrics 17 years ago
I absolutely love this song...I'm listening to it right now, actually. Haha. The piano is beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, and her voice is beautiful. What a masterpiece - it is simple and sweet in every way.
Vanessa said she wrote it about a girl named Victoria who loved Vanessa's music and was dying of leukemia, and it was so meaningful to her. Personally, I think it's about living life to its fullest, and fighting for it no matter what pulls you down. In this case, it's leukemia.

Vanessa Carlton – Papa Lyrics 17 years ago
Here is what I think of the song: (plus it's an awesome song, the piano is beautiful and conveys the feeling perfectly)
I think it's about Vanessa being in a relationship where the other doesn't love her, and their whole "thing" is fake (plastic) and has no meaning. He doesn't really love her, which frustrates her. I also interpret the "papa" in the song is another person, probably a friend or another boy who likes Vanessa and hates the guy she's with, wanting to avenge Vanessa for what the boy did to her. But Vanessa tells the person she'll be fine on her own.
