While the schizophrenic idea is interesting, and made me think for a second. I'm pretty sure the song does quite clearly refer to 3 people, the singer, an ex lover, and a murderer. However I don't think that it is that whole first verse which discredits it (TheDooodleBug). He could be talking to a second personalty. Except for the last line "I'm coming through your town" ..eh, unlikely his alter-ego lives in another city. And then yes the rest of the song continues to refute the claim. One of my Fav's from the band though! Love the line: "Think I give a fuck about a aliby?" |

Yeah. That's what the saying means. But the song isn't really referring to it. Other than portraying the exact opposite emotion. |

wow. I just fell in love with this song for its tune. However, I only just bothered to look at the lyrics, I created an account so I could say... This is so me! I get this. I my case i take the monsters under the bed just to be the knowledge that you should be doing the work you've got to do and not wasting time.. That the monsters have square eyes I assume is a reference to the internet and television as forums for general time-wasting. Thats me anyway. And how this song really is a depiction of my sad life. Ha. aw.. Atleast the tunes upbeat. =] |
