| It's about a same-sex relationship. The troubles that lying about who you are as a couple create. It seems to be that their is hope that one day "the sea will split" as in the world will change, society's views on homosexual relationships. Her saying "give me time" is like her saying I'm not ready to quote on quote come out. The singer Casey is homosexual, like others in the band. So from experience I can say this song feels like a sucky situation, wanting to be a full on loving relationship, but both knowing the time isn't right. | |

This song is about her grief over the death of her love, maybe by suicide he died? "You say your time has come You're tired of waking up". Or because he left her? The beacon is her heart, her love = the flame its burning for him, and she cant feel the "heat" or see the "light" because hes not with her anymore by death or etc. I can also see this song meaning that he did not know how to be in a relationship because he just wasn't ready or knew how to, how to treat her right and love her right. She says "You say you drag me down No one should want you now I start to cry, you kiss my eyes and say I'm not allowed to" He is leaving her and tells her he doesnt deserve her and that shes better off. And at some points its almost like shes frustrated at the fact that he left because she wasnt ready she didnt get closure. |

BTW They got the lyrics wrong the real lyrics which you can totally tell what they are go: I'm a hot dog Sitting in the fog Waiting for my day in the sun And I'm all alone Far away from home Just me my mustard and my bun And oh, I miss you But time is on my side And oh, I need you But you and onions make me cry And I'm all beef But I have a heart And it's bleeding now that you've gone away And I wish everything was kosher as me But I'm not healthy for you anyway And oh, I miss you But time is on my side And oh, I need you But you and onions make me cry And oh, I miss you But time is on my side And oh, I need you But you and onions make me cry. |

| A Fine Frenzy – Liar, Liar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think this song is talking about a guy who keeps flirting with her and he's a ladies man and when it says you don't do me in siren song it's talking about how his pickup tricks don't work on her and he keeps throwing lies at her but she's not naieve and she tells him sraight up that she's no fool and all she wants to do is to show this guy how it feels to be tricked and lied to like she watches him do all the time as he breaks peoples hearts and it irritates her how he feeds off how she is bothered by him doing this. | |
