| LOVE this song. It's so addicting! I have mixed emotions when listening to it--I feel the sadness in it, I feel the irony in it, yet it's just so lovely.. | |

I never really thought about him as really not being over her before...but that makes a lot of sense. But that's not really how I see it. I see it as him and this girl broke up and it was absolutely devastating to him. So he did all those things--he thought about her all the time, wondered where she was, etc. But eventually as life continued for him, he moved on. I think he writes about these things that he used to do because he knows from the past what it was like not being over her, not because he's in denial and really still dependent on her. I don't know...I guess I would just like to believe that he's over her because this song is the anthem to my life. Maybe I'm in denial as well! Anyways, either way, it's brilliant! |

| Kings of Leon – Woo Hoo Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I agree with all the above comments! As soon as I heard this song, I absolutely loved it! I think it's about a guy in a relationship with a girl and a break-up is long overdue. In fact, it almost sounds like he's not really even sure they're still together. So, as mentioned, he goes on a 'prowl' in the chorus. I absolutely love KOL's use of the phrase "woo hoo", like it's just him going absolutely crazy. This song just loosens me up and makes me so happy! | |

For some reason I'm really fascinated by the line, "Love is just a dialogue. You can't survive on ice cream." I'm having trouble coming up with meaning though...any ideas? |

AllChokedUp just articulated exactly what I was thinking! He really likes her but begins to think that she's worth less because of her career as a prostitute. So eventually, he starts treating her with less and less respect, like the people she works with do. She becomes offended that he starts treating her that way and demands respect, which in return offends him. Does that make any sense? |

| The Kooks – Mr. Maker Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I agree, echo369. Mr. Maker has it made--a beautiful wife, kids, money, etc. He realizes that the world around him doesn't have what he has been blessed with. In the chorus, he justifies the decision not to give to charities and help the world around him because he has given himself to his family already. "But oh no, it's alright Mr. Maker, he'll be fine It's all right, it's OK Because of the love he gave away" Very, very catchy song. |
