this song makes me think of vampires. the lines; Hold me down, Hold me down drip it on my tongue and my convulsions stop Thirst for love, thirst for your love I could swallow your beauty whole sound almost exactly like the process of turning a mortal into a vampire. some of the lyrics seem to have vampirific/sexual connotations: "i want to taste it let me taste it" "i want to drink you in i am drinking you in" "the thirst is taking over" "i want to swallow your beauty whole" i now know it's about a passionate love for God, though when i first heard the song, i was convinced it was about vampires and bloodlust. still think it's a great song. sorry if i've offended any christians. |
