This song is from the "American Werewolf in Paris" soundtrack. It eventually ended up on their first Hollywood records release of "Monsoon". The versions of the songs very in sound slightly, however the lyrics are the same. I personally like the soundtrack version. It is a bit rougher and edgier. The song is about a guy who falls in love with a girl at a distance and when they meet she asks him to help her kill herself. This is also kind of how the movie starts where he saves her in the movie, however the song differs there. In the song he helps her kill herself. It all seems to be a conversation on the brink of psychological breakdown where he is justifing to himself of the death vs murder. |

The band had said this was about the relationships of Mark the guitar player, Jason the drummer, and singer Jimmy. Later they joked about changing it to the quartet of pain after bass player Scott also lost his girlfriend after being on the road. |

Just a little background for those who don't know but Flo and Normandie is the intersection in California that truck driver Reginald Denny got yanked out of his truck and smashed in the head with a brick by gangbangers after the Rodney King incident made news and started the Los Angeles riots. |

This song is off the "American Werewolf In Paris" Soundtrack. It is about helping somebody kill themself that they love more than life itself. This conversation seems to be about him justifing it to himself in his head. |
