I think the song is basically warning people about relationships. It's saying it's best to just be single cause a relationship will only end in sadness. She can make the salt taste like sugar on her hands but If love is a way out, then please let me in don't start, darlin don't you turn my nightmares into dreams again. It's saying that love is just a way to escape reality. So therefore, he does does not want to be in love. He wants to see reality for what it truly is, a nightmare. |
