one little note that ill add is: Love's name in vain. as in saying god damnit. well that is literally saying god damn it. he could be telling God to damn his soul. but the shadow on the wall line is the key i think. im not sure. this is a lose interpretation tho. or picking a different type of love for his sould then what God wants for everyone, therefore the gift of love he is given is in vain. for both God and hiself since the person choses to go 2 hell for the one he loves in his heart rather then choosing God in his heart. just adding thoughts to the pool |

well wut sticks out at me the most is, sell my soul for you just to say: I dream what you're dreaming and feel what you're feeling loves our shadow on the wall with the face of God or loves name in vein again and again idk wut loves name in vein is if its defferent from the verse above, but i think hes using a way to measure just wut hed do for this person. in the literal interpretation anyways. people say theyd do anything for a person but the truth is, most wouldnt sell their souls for someone if they really had to face that decision. hes saying he would. hes breaking the boundries of sacrafice of not only dying, but facing eternal damnation just 2 be with someone. but he is athiest so it could have a different meaning unless he really is just using it as a comparison. chances are it has a double meaning which im still hazy about |

k basically i think this song is about how all realtionships come to an end in one way or another. Now all hope is gone so drown in this love The 1st person knows what love is and the pain it brings so in a way, he tells the person he loves what the love will eventually come to be. Like a warning. Maybe the person is sort of angry at love because of the pain it brings. Once you fall in love with each other, the person loses hope once he/she falls in love because they know what it ends up to be. So my love your laughter is finally turning into tears And you're begging for more though the end is getting near come closer my love I'll violate you in the most sensual way... until you drown in this love now that the person has the one he/she loves, they both kno that the end is coming (for whatever reason the writer has). Although they know this, they still want to be 2gether as much as they can since they are hopelessly bound to their love 4 one another. the whole violation line prolly means that the person wants the physical side of it, but doesnt at the same time since it will only bring more pain once they are apart. |
