| If he were actually talking about killing her, why would he then need to fly to her funeral? No, I think he's using murder as a metaphor for breaking up with her. He can't really explain why he's killed her, and that's why he invokes "god," or circumstance, or fate. And no amount of money -- the frowning presidents -- can circumvent fate and make him want her back. But even though he doesn't really wanna talk to her again, he still wants some closure, like the final goodbye that comes with attending her funeral. That's my interpretation, at least. | |
