This song could be about the OD but when I first heard it I thought it was about love and a relationship. "And you're someone Who knows someone Who knows someone I once knew' It makes me think of someone you used to date but once you break up and not see them for a while you realize that you both are different people. "So hum hallelujah Just off the key of reason I thought I loved you It was just how you looked in the light" I took this verse as: I thought I loved you but it wasnt really love, it was something else... A teenage vow in a parking lot "Til tonight do us part" I sing the blues And swallow them too And I think this means - Maybe you made a vow to each other to love each other forever but it didnt work so now that its over you sing the blues..
