Sylvan Esso – Wolf Lyrics 9 years ago
"He ain't no dad, his voice is smoother"

It's actually "He ain't no jack" A reference to the radio DJ "Wolfman Jack" who was known for his gruff sounding voice.

That's just one of many lyrical mistakes here.

@[LLCoolSand:12649] It kind of is actually. She wrote about it here: http://genius.com/5200415

"There was a period of time after tour when I was living in New York. All of my college friends were working their after-jobs, dragging themselves from coffee shop to coffee shop. So I never had people to hang out with. This lead me to having a lot of really crazy affairs with dudes I shouldn’t have been with. It’s about how, in New York, or in any city really, you can have a sexual experience with someone and then completely disappear. And there are no consequences! You can have a whole separate life. You still have your friends, but they would never know that you had done this crazy thing the night before.

In the song, the protagonist, our hero, is a dude, but it’s really just me. I cast myself as a male lead. It’s the idea of searching for a human connection that just can’t be found by having sex with everyone."

April Smith and the Great Picture Show – Beloved Lyrics 11 years ago
I can't decide if this song is toward a former lover who is alive or dead.

If they're alive, this song seems a tad creepy and/or dark.

The line "This thing that beats / is the one thing that keeps us apart" is what makes me think the former lover could possibly be dead. but I'm not sure.

Metallica – The Unnamed Feeling Lyrics 11 years ago
In my personal opinion, This sounds a lot like someone dealing with depression (or possibly Manic depression/bipolar.). Depressives can become dependent on other things to try and (self) medicate the problem instead of dealing with it on their own. As someone who deals with Depression, This seems a lot like what goes on in my head. You feel cold and insane, and like you just want to lash out somehow, and you're sick of it. You try and get support from other people, but they just don't understand, their world seems all warm and comfortable compared to yours, so you just go it alone.

The reason I thought of Manic Depression was becuase of the "Turn my eyes to see what's coming." since you don't always know when your Manic or depressive episodes are going to happen, you just have to deal with them when they happen.

Just my thoughts though.

this song seems a little too upbeat to be about suicide, the same with the music video. Like the others on here, I also though it seemed kind of dirty, as ShayBoogie stated, about a vibrator. :)

this song is hilarious, and strangly enough when he's talking and starts screaming it sounds a bit like Steve Buchemi (sp?) LOL!

bad thing is, I got this as a reply song on Blip.com when I talked about how cute the guy was,he sent me this song. it's mean, but I'm not that hurt cause it's such a great funny song. <3 <3 MSI! Forever!

I love this song because it's the GIRL singing about how she will protect her love. they could have easily given this song to a guy to sing, but they didn't. this was one of my favs as a teen. :D

I agree he is saying breasts instead of wrist, he's saying it like Buh-rest which I guess can cause confusion. also I don't think it's tight old ass I think it's giant ass.

I love this song for a few reasons, one of which is that it's pretty dirty. lol!

I don't know if this was their intention or not, but it sounds kind of like it either and answer back to or making fun of Gwen Stefani songs. especially the mock yodle(sp?) before the "excuse me do you want to screw" part.
