| Jason Mraz – The Remedy (I Won't Worry) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| well it sounds like it is something to do with politics, since the last thing he says is that he applied what he learned from his friend's experience with cancer to all of america and it's recent tragedies. | |
| Kid Cudi – Sky Might Fall Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I don't think it's really that optimistic, it sounds like it's about feeling lost and depressed (cloud over my head) so you smoke weed (but the Mary though) until you just don't care anymore. yknowww | |
| Eminem – Love The Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Exactly. It's about an explosive relationship (that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano), not a relationship where the woman just takes it. They're both completely in love with eachother, but in a completely destructive relationship. | |
| Jack Johnson – My Little Girl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| such a beautiful song. it's pretty straightforward, even though he can write her the most perfect songs about love and wonderful things he knows he can't protect his daughter from the real world, all he can do is 'try to show her how to love with no fear.' | |
| Jack Johnson – Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| it's about trying to live in a fantasy world, and turning to alcohol when you're forced to live in reality | |
| Anberlin – (The Symphony Of) Blase Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| To me it sounds like he's letting go of a girl he's deeply in love with because she can't put down the bottle, maybe even cheating on him while she's under the influence. | |
| Dispatch – The General Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I don't think it's contradicting. He is going to fight the enemy, that's what he means by "where I'm going". He's not saying he's not going to fight, he's telling the soldiers below him that they don't have to fight. He's too wrapped up in the war to leave, but he's telling them to get out while they can because he's "discovered that this fight is not worth fighting." | |
| Dispatch – The General Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| yeah, that's the feeling i got from the repeating line "you are forgiven" | |
| B.o.B – Lovelier Than You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
completely self explanatory, wonderfully beautiful song. the only line i don't like is "we go together like the tub and the showerhead above," it just comes out so cheesy. the chorus is perfect though. |
|
| B.o.B – The Kids (feat. Janelle Monae) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think he's putting the back on the current generation, rather than just accepting that everything's fucked up and focusing on having the children being the future generation who will fix everything. He's saying we have to set the example and show the love to our children so that they can show love in the future. If we don't change anything NOW, we're trapping our children in a never ending cycle. "We're trapped inside the matrix forced to play our hand" That's my favorite line, but I think it's almost satirical because he's saying that's not excuse. It's make sense in combination with Airplanes pt. II, where Eminem's talking about how you can't just sit in your circumstances and hope for change, you have to make a move. |

| Jason Mraz – Love For A Child Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Obviously it's about divorce, but I don't think it's ALL about divorce. It's about loss of innocence, and the divorce was part of it. "Looks like Jesus and his friends involved" shows he doesn't recognize the picture as being the Last Supper, so I'm going to assume no one ever took him to church or tried to get him involved with religion. The pool is a drinking party at his house, there's a couple hooking up etc etc not things a kid should be seeing. & Then once his parents got divorce he pretty much got ignored, getting to do whatever the fuck he wanted and pretty much losing his childhood in the process. | |
| Owl City – Vanilla Twilight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Beauuuutiful song <3 It's obviously about a loved one who died, but it could definitely be applied to a relationship with someone still living, too. It basically just says I can enjoy life without you, I'm going to be happy and I'm going to live, but I'm still always going to miss you. It's good, but it would be better with you here. |
|
| Barcelona – Please Don't Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
beautiful beautiful beautiful song <3 i love it in a lower pitch, it's even better. |
|
| SafetySuit – Gone Away Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
such a fucking beautiful song. definitely made so pretty much anyone can hear what they want out of it, like how irishman hears it as a break up song, and beautifulgoodbye uses it as an escape. for me, it makes me think of all the things i took for granted with this guy, and now we can't see each other. "i think about time, a luxury so hard to find and i just can't figure out why i wasted it all here without you" to me, it's running away with someone who means everything, someone who you're happy with. just getting away from this "old life" and all the problems we have, and just being together where none of it matters. i can't stop listening to it. |
|
| Taking Back Sunday – Everything Must Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
god it's fucking WONDERFUL live. i used to love it, but after hearing it live.. the album version doesn't really even compare. most powerful song they sang when i saw them, for sure. |

| Straylight Run – I'm Through With The Past (But The Past Isn't Through With Me) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Based on TBS's new Where My Mouth Is, I think it's pretty possible that Adam tried to fix things with John, and maybe even asked him to come back. | |
| Anberlin – Reclusion Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's sounds like it's a song about becoming someone you don't want to be. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – Capital M-E Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The meaning behind this and Summer Man kinda make me lose respect for Adam as a person, but the song itself does sound great. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – Summer, Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Is this song called "Summer Man" or "Summer, Man"? | |
| Eminem – My Mom Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is probably a dumb question, but I can't tell if he's blaming his mom for his drug addiction, or making fun of people who blame their parents for the way they are? | |
| Eminem – Dr. West (Skit) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"But I thought variety was the most important thing?" come on, really? that's OBVIOUSLY sobriety, not variety. This song is obviously about addiction, and maybe the ineffectiveness of rehab. |
|
| Eminem – We Made You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| To me, it seems like he's making fun of people who are famous because of something other than talent. And how scandalous celebrities attract more attention/love from the fans than talented celebrities do. | |
| Mae – Soundtrack For Our Movie Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I think it's about remembering all the good times in a past relationship. "I started to ache when I started to think of you. Wondering how long it would take before I step into something new. There's only so much I can fake. There's only so much that I can prove. Well, do it in a minute, I could go play the fool for you." I loveeeeee that he starts that the starts the song with this. It's about not being able to move on from someone. Pretending you're fine and it's all the past, but knowing that, given the opportunity, you'd love to go back and do it all again ("I could go play the fool for you"). It's like saying "I can't get over you" and the rest of the song is the "and here's why." |
|
| All Time Low – Stay Awake (Dreams Only Last for a Night) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"Before you ask which way to go Remember where you've been" In the context of Peter Pan and Wendy I guess it doesn't make much sense, but I've always seen it as a "don't make the same mistake expecting different results" type thing, and I love it. |
|
| The Early November – The Course Of Human Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i love the instrumental at the beginning of this song. it's perfect. | |
| Kelly Clarkson – I Do Not Hook Up Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Maybe it's because I wasn't really paying attention when it was on, but the music video for this song seems completely opposite of the lyrics? Like, there's this innocent conservative girl sitting with some boring guy at a wedding, and she's fantasizing about have the guts to throw the cute caterer down on the table. & Later she's dancing on a bar. It seems to me like the song's promoting the good girl, and the video's saying the fun girl's better. I don't know. |
|
| The Script – The Man Who Can't Be Moved Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's a beautiful song about desperately trying not giving up on someone you love. | |
| A Rocket to the Moon – Fear of Flying Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
To me, this song is exactly where I'm at. It's two people, who have moved on and aren't really in each other's lives anymore. They've always had a complicated relationship, definitenly not just friends, but never really went full force with it (we'll take it slow and only work at it sometimes). & He misses her. He can tell just by how she is around him that she still has feelings for him too (third verse), and they'd both do anything just to get the feeling of comfort they had with each other because without it they "have nothing left." The little fights are obvious, they're dumb and you only act all stubborn to feel like you have a backbone, when you both know the other person is wayy more important than the stupid little fight. Still, once it's gone.. you'd kill to get back to even that. I think the fear of flying is being scared to move on. |
|
| Aniston – I've Seen Your Ways Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is so beautiful, I wish more people had heard it. It's about a guy with a rough relationship, and he's trying to do whatever he can to save it. Then he's at a party(?) and saw her drunk and with another guy. So the end of the song is him accepting it, and forcing himself to move on from her. I don't know what "your time hasn't come to its end yet" means, though. |

| Ace Enders – Leader Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It sounds like it's about getting our troops out of war. "All that we need is everyone we know Everyone we know" maybe a reference to the large number of soldiers being used, or maybe even the draft they were talking about reinstating. "I saw a man on TV, he had lost: Some limbs, his younger brother, and his heart" it was a solider, obviously. "They're drawing our lifelines, making decisions But never have to know" the people who decide to go to war aren't having to live it. "How did we get so far? And how do we get back home?" how did we get so overly involving in iraq, and how can we get out without it backfiring? Ace Enders is wonderful, and I love his voice.<3 |
|
| Frou Frou – Let Go Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
to me, this song is about that moment in your life where you stop hiding, stop being scared, stop trying to distract yourself and deny it, and just completely let your self fall for someone. "it's so amazing here." honestly, i don't think there's any better way to describe the way it feels when you really just FALL, and have someone there just completely falling with you. "there's beauty in the breakdown." maybe it won't last forever, and eventually it will end.. but even when it's all falling apart, there's something beautiful in the fact that it happened. a hard ending means something wonderful happened, and that makes it all worth it. |
