It think this song is about a glimpse of her realization that she lives in a heavily idealized, Hollywoodized fantasy world, but instead of acknowledging this fact fully, she blames the other person for not bringing her an idealized fairy tale romance of her imagination on a silver platter. So unfortunately, she gains nothing from ordeal.
Too bad really, because I think this is one of her most sober and honest songs about herself. |

I don't understand how some girls can keep dating these douches and get burned a little later and almost always complain about it. I'm like... get a clue already! |

What kind of an idiot 15 year old believes them when they tell you they love you. Maybe yes when you're 8, 9, 10, but 15, no. |

First off you claim to know what women "should" want and need, yet you claim that you're all for female empowerment. Please. Second she was obviously referring to his COMMITMENT, duh! She can sing whatever the hell she wants without someone cajoling her what she can sing or can not sing. |

What the hell is "obtectize"!!! And how the hell are these lyrics "needy"!?? Even if they are, who cares!! If a man was being needy in his song, then he is lauded as a hero/an ultimate lover!! What the hell is up with that?? |

Irony at its finest. You claim that she does not speak for all females yet you are not even a female yourself and you're the one who's claiming to know what girls want or not.
And if you seriously think that she hates men based on this song then you must have some serious issues. I can't think of any males who would serious get offended by something like this unless he was seriously insecure and/or have issues. Why don't you stop being such a paranoid insecure prick, asshole. |

| The Black Eyed Peas – Where Is The Love? (Feat. Justin Timberlake) Lyrics

Well this song is somewhat hypocritical, because it's about demanding love, but not really being loving themselves. The song says that everybody should be loving, but the singers themselves are "exempt" of this rule, as if love is only needed to be taken care of by everybody else.
"Where is the love?" - Indeed... they should be asking that to themselves. |
